Page 74 – Mystery at Miner’s Peak

You decide to ignore the warnings of the ranger and take your chances in the old abandoned mine. After all, how often do you have an opportunity to find the long lost treasure of old Two-Eyed Jack? As the light grows dim, you move your way slowly down the mine shaft. You stop to pull the treasure map from your pocket and hold it up to the lantern. Strangely, a breeze seems to come from inside the depths of the mine, and the old map slips from your hands and falls into a crevice high in the rocks. As you begin to climb up to get it, the spider webs get thicker and thicker. You begin to wonder if you should have listened to that ranger after all. Then the ground beneath your feet begins to shake. You jump down and begin to run back to the entrance of the cave, but it’s too late! The great rocks of the cave wall give way and slam closed every hope of escape. You’re trapped!

THE END

(Tough luck on that one. You really should have listened to the ranger and turned to page 43. That’s okay – I always choose the wrong adventure a few times before I find the treasure. Maybe you should just go back to the Author Bio).

ahhaahah. good thing I have a jar of peanut butter with me! at least I won’t be hungry while I’m trapped in this cave. (coincidentally, I do happen to have a jar of peanut butter right next to me as I type this)

Very good! I found you on Umstattd Media’s website under profiles and thought I would check you out. I am familiar with the teachings of Calvary Chapel and used to listen to Chuck preach on the radio years ago… line upon line, precept upon precept. The radio stations have all changed and I no longer listen, but I still hear Chuck’s voice when I am reading certain passages from the Bible.

I like your honesty and the genuine humanity that I see in your bio, as I knew that this would be a dead-end, but humorous. I love humor and use it when I share the Word of God with others, as I will tonight at church.

Be blessed and know that you have a new follower in me.
